Waxing Service

Wax experts from Toko and Swix will be on hand at New Moon Thursday, February 25, 2010 and Friday, February 26, 2010 with recommendations and tips. They can answer any technical wax questions you might have.

New Moon is also offering race waxing service. Race waxing is offered on a strict first-come, first-served, pre-paid basis. We appreciate you understanding and respecting this policy. In past years, wax service has typically filled on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. Once full, we can no longer accept skis. Finished skis will be available for pick-up beginning Friday afternoon. The last skis are generally done and ready for pick-up around 5 p.m. Friday.

Bring your skis in clean and scraped. You will be charged for clean-up.

Note: If you can't get your skis here early, we recommend shipping them to New Moon well ahead of time. You must provide payment info including credit card info, billing address, phone, and email, as well as clear instructions regarding which waxing options you would like. Be sure to insure your skis and pack them adequately (NO PEANUTS PLEASE).

High Fluoro Glide Wax — $60
Includes Moly Prep Wax, High Fluoro Wax, scraped and brushed, ready to ski.

Pure Fluoro Glide Wax — $80
Includes the steps above plus the Pure Fluoro du jour.

Kick Waxing — $25
Includes binders and kick wax du jour.

Structuring only — $10

Cleaning or Scraping — $10 and up.

Final wax selections for New Moon's Birkie Wax service will be determined Wednesday Birkie week.
